Summer Update

Summer has been so much more busy than I ever imagined. Definitely need to plan my summer a little better next year. Always a learning year for me! I’m still working on my last newsletter of the year so you can look forward to that. Until then here are some updates, praises, and prayer requests:

1. Praise God for an amazing year of ministry! It was such a joy (and extremely tiring) visiting the multiple graduations happening this year! I got to see many of the freshmen that I ministered to my first year on leadership graduate. I felt extremely privileged to be used in shaping their early years in college and am excited to see where the Lord might take them in life. Please pray for our seniors as they are moving onto the next step in their lives.
2. Toward the end of June I was in Madison, WI for 10 days participating in new staff training. It was a wonderful time of connecting with the national movement and reigniting God’s heart for the campus in my own heart. I am more excited than ever for what God is doing on campus and am SOOO excited for the start of ministry this fall. Check out the picture of Alec Hill (InterVarsity president) and me.
3. I spent the early part of July with my family in the Bay Area. It was a wonderful time of connecting with the family and friends as well as fundraising. Please continue to pray for me as I am working toward raising my budget for next year. I would love to be on campus this coming September.
4. I just finished leading a week of a summer leadership cohort or leadership training through my church Coast Vineyard. It was a wonderful week of reading through the the beginning of Nehemiah, and meeting different Vineyard leaders for training. One highlight of the week was the continual call to these student leaders for full time ministry (Church planting in particular). I am excited to see God continue to rise up harvesters for the fields! Please pray for them as they continue the cohort this week with some other church leaders.
5. Fall Quarter planning is on it way! Contrary to popular belief IV staff work full time through the summer. Please pray for us as we start to ramp up for the beginning of school. Particularly for our planning and for protection over our student leaders. I am excited for what God is going to do!
6. Without going into much detail, would you please lift up my family in prayer. We need God’s mercy and love to fall down.

Funding Need:
1. I am still praying and asking for $7,000 to cover my expense deficit from last year.
2. I am currently fundraising my next years budget. Including my current deficit I still need about $21,000 committed to continue God’s work.

Thank you for reading up on me!
