Support
**Why Fundraise? Good question. The reason is multi-faceted. Pragmatically, I need to fundraise to supplement my part-time income and put myself through seminary. However, if this was the only reason, I would probably try to find other ways to get through seminary.
Fundraising is important to me because I’ve seen through the years that the people who sow financially into my ministry are the most invested emotionally and spiritually as well. In this season of preparation, I’m really looking for are people who will partner with me in ministry for the long haul. I believe fundraising is an important aspect of building this kind of ministry team. Finally, I want to begin fundraising for my future plant now. Even though it’s still a few years away, beginning to fundraise now for the plant is going to be my seed of faith that God will be faithful to fulfill the dreams he’s put on my heart.
My church has graciously offered to sponsor my fundraising efforts, meaning that all donations will be tax deductible and 100% of everything given will come back to me. My goal is to raise $2000/month ($24,000/yr.), which will be divided like this:
- $1000- Salary
- $500- Seminary Tuition (and other ministry training)
- $500- Escrow fund for a Bay Area Church Plant
Coast has designated a special fund to be used only for a future Bay Area church plant. $500 of my monthly budget will be deposited into this fund to be withdrawn only when I am ready to plant. The dream is to have about $20,000 of “seed” money available when my team and I set out to plant.
If you’re interested in financially partnering with me during this leg of the journey please let me know or check out my ministry page: http://www.coastvineyard.org/joseph-lee/.
